Capacity Building Assistance Center

The EDC e-Learning & CBA Center works with CDC, community-based organizations (CBOs) and other HIV/AIDS service organizations to deliver Community High Impact HIV Prevention (CHIP) services. We deliver training and technical assistance (TTA) to organizations that provide services to priority populations at highest risk for HIV and people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Our culturally-tailored TTA aims to bolster the delivery of effective community programs and proven prevention, treatment and care strategies. We offer face-to-face trainings, telephone consultations, and technical assistance services in both English and Spanish. We also design and develop online products to support and enhance the capacity of HIV-related service providers.

Together we can reduce new HIV infections, provide care and support for HIV positive families and individuals, and make a major impact on the fight against HIV.

We strengthen organizations’ capacity to reach individuals at high risk for HIV and PLWHA through customized, high quality, culturally and linguistically appropriate TTA while at the same time ensuring organizational sustainability.

Our face-to-face and online TTA supports organizations’ implementation of effective interventions including public health strategies and biomedical, behavioral, and structural interventions.

We help organizations collect qualitative and quantitative data consistent with funding requirements and reporting needs.
